About hotels and rent car in beirut - Please advise..?

There are no hotels in Hamra for $50 or $60.00. Hotels are too expensive no matter what. Driving is so complicated too. You u r from the states, it is very hard to drive in Beirut since it is too crowded & people Create 5 lanes out of 3 or 4 lanes. You have no idea how Lebanese people drive there. Have a nice stay!
