Is it true that there are more stars in the Southern Hemisphere than the Northern?

Well the Large Magellanic cloud and the Small Magellanic cloud are in the southern hemisphere. They are jammed packed with stars. And the center of the Milky Way is also easy to observe in the southern hemisphere. So technically there should be more stars in the southern hemisphere. But we have the most beautiful nebulae in our northern skies. So there...
