How do we push for the elimination of inferior search engines as default for public computers?

Google is the bottom line. It brings the most relevant search results and its searches are constantly studied with statistical ysis to make sure of this. Why are some search engines such as bing.com, ask.com, infoseek, altavista, etc are either the home page and default search engine for my universities library computers, and other public access computers too. Yahoo and google are the best. And if somebody show happens to prefer ask.com over google, then they are the minority and they should have to type that dumb website in the address bar ( or google search bar) to get to that site.
